This star quilt was made during Sundance ceremonies, and with every stitch, these beatuiful and powerful energies flowed into it. It is made with the four sacred sundance altar colors.

Fancy borders have been added all around that have quarter stars in the four corners and stripes in red, yellow, white, and black.

A magical moment! If you've been lucky, you've seen eagles in the sky far above lock their talons together and spiral toward earth, only to break apart before getting close to the ground. Wild Horse races are a popular sport on many Indian reservations and places such as the Pendleton Roundup. This star quilt is unusual in that the radiant row of design diamonds are hand cut to fit into the star.

It's finally here!  The first ceremonial Medicine Wheel star quilt on Diane's web site features the colors of the four directions.  This star quilt looks deceptively simple, but in reality it's a complex design using many split diamonds in the star.

Turtle Island Star Quilt

Some Lakota Indian people call Mother Earth "Turtle Island."  Diane's adaptation of the Lakota turtle star quilt has a border of friendship stars, and bands of color all around the whole.  Dark green, kelly green, sea green, and sunshine yellow are set on a white background, making this a very striking and unique quilt.
