Spirit of the West Direction Star Quilt

This star quilt is unusual in that it has a large diamond in a Native American print fabric in the center of each of the eight star rays.  The name of this quilt is derived from the black medicine wheels in each corner of the quilt.  Some Native Americans believe that the color black represents the West direction, where the Spirit of meditation and prayer resides.  The quilt shown is 80" X 90", so a queen size will have a bit more white showing around the star.  The solid fabric colors are black, wine, copper, and gold, on a cream or light tan background.  ORDER NOW, as the Native American print fabric is in short supply.

Crow's Star Quilt

This star quilt was made for a young man at sundance whose last name is Crow, and it features a black crow in each corner of the center design, and a red medicine wheel on the upper and lower panels.  Fabric colors are the four altar colors of red, white, black, and yellow.  Tan, and a print fabric, complete the color palette.  A wide black border is on all four sides.  The center design measures 31 1/2" X 42", and the background color is pale yellow.  This quilt can be made into a queen/king size at 90" X 100" by adding another border around all edges.  The price will be the same.  The center design also works well for a crib size baby quilt.

Due to popular request, Diane has created a Broken Star Quilt.  The top one is gorgeous with shades of blue, and red, yellow, and orange, all on a royal blue background.   Although the quilt shown is 90" square, it can be made into a king/queen size for your bed.  The second Broken Star is in lovely pastel shades, and the third version features blazing sunset hues.

Going To the Stick Games Star Quilt

This star quilt is named in honor of Jim Boyd of the Colville Indian Nation.  Jim is a contemporary musician and song writer who has won several Native American music awards over the years.  "Going to the Stick Games" is on one of his newer CDs.  (See the Links page for more info about Jim and his music.)  The predominant colors in the star quilt are dark reds, and shades of blue and green.  It has a "prairie block" border at the top and the bottom.  Shown is a twin size; the king/queen size has a bit more cream colored fabric around the star.
