In the late days of springtime, one may be extraordinarily
lucky enough to see a pair of Bald Eagles high
in the sky, with their talons locked together,
falling slowly earthward, twirling around and
around each other, finally breaking apart just
minutes before reaching the ground.
In
this very special star quilt, two dancing eagles
and two sets of two crossed pipestone pipes fill
the star, which is outlined in red. The
star-egg is surrounded by a universe of blue stars
on one side and earthbound lightning on the other.
The fabric of the eagles' wings is navy blue fabric
with white stars. The pipe bowl fabric has
ravens sitting on the moon. A scalloped border
of red, white and blue star fabric surrounds the
whole, enclosed by an outside border of dark blue.
This
beautiful and exciting star quilt will be suitable
