Diane's Native American Star Quilts: Very Special Star Quilt #1

Very Special Ceremony Star Quilt  #1

FEATURES:   100% cotton.  Measurements:  88" X 92", shown on a queen size bed.  Indian hand quilted in a scalloped style, with very small and perfect stitches using black thread.  The backing is black.  The matching queen size shams are sold separately below.

This strikingly beautiful star quilt was 3 years in the making.  Some of the fabrics came from the same cuts that Diane made her last sundance dress from.

The fabrics in the star represent the sacred colors of the four directions, black, red, yellow, and white.  Three different fabrics with white stars on black make up the background behind the star, and they are sewn in unusual and interesting ways, seeming like galaxies mixing and swirling around the star.   The quilt has two sets of white feathers and red medicine wheels on a band of black beneath the star.  Borders on the sides and bottom are red, yellow, white, and white stars on black.  The wide top border is white stars on black.

This exquisitely made star quilt is suitable for any Native ceremony, or for weddings, graduations, or any other celebrations.   It will arrive on your doorstep blessed in the Native way and pure of Spirit, ready for your own personal medicines and prayers to go into it.
