A magical moment! If you've been lucky, you've seen eagles in the sky far above lock their talons together and spiral toward earth, only to break apart before getting close to the ground. This star quilt also features a crossed pipes design in two of the large diamonds. This top measures 43" once the background triangles and corner squares are sewn in.

Wild Horse races are a popular sport on many Indian reservations and places such as the Pendleton Roundup. This star quilt is unusual in that the radiant row of design diamonds are hand cut to fit into the star. The queen size pattern will make a star that measures approximately 60" X 52".  You can set this star either the long way or the wide way in your quilt.  Pick your own five favorite colors for this unusual star.

Turtle Island Star Quilt Top PATTERN

Diane's adaptation of the Lakota Turtle Island Star Quilt is finally available!  The queen size pattern will make a 60" star, but you can add borders to make it a king size or any custom size.  The baby size pattern will make a 37" star, and if you cut the fabric carefully, you can make two baby size stars.

Spirit of the West Direction Star Quilt Top PATTERN

This star quilt is unusual in that it has a large diamond in a print fabric in the center of each of the eight star rays.  A fabric with a Native American design is awesome here.  The queen size pattern will make a 60" star, but you can add borders to make it a king size or any custom size.  The baby size pattern will make a 37" star, and if you cut the fabric carefully, you can make two baby size stars.

Going to the Stick Games Star Quilt Top PATTERN

This beautiful, earthy star has an amazing 11 colors, set against a pale yellow (or white) background.  The queen size pattern will make a 60" star, but you can add borders to make it a king size or any custom size.  The baby size pattern will make a 37" star, and if you cut the fabric carefully, you can make two baby size stars.

Prairie Star Quilt Top PATTERN

This is Diane's oldest and most favorite star design.  It has 10 striking colors in the star, all on a pale blue background.  It will make a 60" queen size star, but you can add borders to make it a king size or any custom size.  The baby size pattern will make a 37" star, and if you cut the fabric carefully, you can make two baby size stars.

Dawn Star Quilt Top PATTERN

Difficulty level: Intermediate

This lovely star has been the most popular with Diane's customers. Patterns are available that will instruct you how to make either a 60" queen size star quilt top, or a 37" baby size star quilt top. There are 9 beautiful fabric colors used in the Dawn Star, plus a background color. Suggestions for the background color are eggshell , black (shown), or white.  The baby size pattern: if you cut the fabric carefully, you can make two baby size stars.

Good Road Jeweltone Blues Star Quilt Top PATTERN

Difficulty level: Intermediate

This is a truly gorgeous star. Four shades of blue give it a radiant jeweltone look, with burgundy and black as perfect accents. It's an 11-row star, shown here on a white background. Patterns are available that will instruct you how to make either a 60" queen size star quilt top, or a 37" baby size star quilt top.  The baby size pattern: if you cut the fabric carefully, you can make two baby size stars.

Purple and Yellow Star Quilt Top PATTERN

The Basic Native American Star Quilt Top PATTERN

Here's all you need to know to make your own 60" queen size star quilt top, or a 28" baby size star quilt top! You can substitute your own favorite fabric colors too. This pattern will make a seven row star. Note: THIS PATTERN IS FOUND IN THE BOOK, so if you buy the book then you won't need to buy this pattern.

Whirlwind Star Quilt Top PATTERN

Difficulty level: Challenging

This unique pattern has directions and color photos showing how to make a queen size Whirlwind star quilt top that's about 58 inches square. There currently is no baby size Whirlwind pattern available.

Seven Point Star Quilt Top PATTERN

Difficulty level: Intermediate

You won't find a seven point star quilt pattern anywhere else on the internet... Just here! This pattern utilizes both rotary cutting and the use of a heavy paper template, which is included. The pattern will make a 50" seven point star, which is put onto 60" wide background fabric. It's fun to choose your own seven colors for your star! There is currently no baby size pattern available for this star.
